Many owners don't realize preventative dental measures can
reduce the risk of periodontal disease, which can lead to infections
of the heart, liver, lungs and kidneys. With training, special brushes
and toothpastes can used to reduce the risk of periodontal disease and
promote good dental health.
During a dental exam, we instruct owners on proper pet brushing
technique and assess tartar and calculus buildup and determine if a
professional teeth cleaning is required.
If necessary, we will perform blood tests for safety, followed by a
professional cleaning under anesthesia.
